NO GUILD/UNION APPROVAL STATEMENT

1. What is it?

A No Guild/Union Approval Statement is a formal statement that no approvals are required by entertainment industry guilds and unions (such as SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA, IATSE) for the film. Some of these unions often must approve the credits of any feature films or TV shows that their members are hired for to ensure the proper credit is granted. These documents ensure the producer's compliance with collective bargaining agreements and protect distributors and broadcasters from potential claims or liabilities from cast and crew. This paperwork is a standard component of a film’s legal delivery package.

When required, these documents or email approvals are provided by each respective union or guild so always get the official updated requirements from them.

2. Who is it for?

This requirement is essential for:

· Producers

· Production attorneys

· Sales agents and distributors

· Completion bond companies

· Guilds and unions (for audit purposes)

It is primarily required by distributors, broadcasters, and streamers during legal delivery to verify that they are not assuming responsibility for residuals or union violations.

3. What does it include?

The No Approval statement is a very simple statement that says no guild/union approvals were required in the making of your project.

Re-Using the Form Template:

1. You may use an a la carte template unlimited times (as long as the service is available subject to Terms and Conditions). The only access to your template is via the email link. Keep it in a place you will remember. ShowbizWise will not be held responsible for lost emails and will not send replacement links.

2. Each use of the template is generated from a blank document from scratch. Your previous entries are not saved.

3. To generate a brand new document go to the "Your Legal Document is Ready" email. Click on the “[View Document]” button to open a new template and repeat the process.

NOTE: The PDF's do not save while filling them out. Save your entries on a separate document and then copy and paste the text into the PDF forms. Then print them out.
